I am building a workbench for my woodshop and I am at the point of installing six LED bulbs in parallel in the overhead of my workbench. I was told to use a double pole switch and connect the black wire (hot) from the circuit breaker box to the bottom screw and the black wire (hot) from the overhead LED bulbs to the top screw. Also, was told to splice both white wires (neutral) together and not connect to the neutral side of switch (Don' t know why???). The ground wire from the circuit breaker box and the one coming from the overhead lights, piggybacked goes to the ground screw (green). Is this the correct procedure, if not, please let me know what is the correct procedure. Thanking in advance all those who reply.
