Hi
I have this glass vase that was dropped. The bowl itself, which forms the main part of the piece, is intact, but it originally sat upon a round flat base (all one continuous piece of glassware). The base has broken off, leaving a short piece of connecting glass about 1cm in diameter as a sharp protrusion. I thought that if I could file this down to a smooth level, then the vase could be rehabilitated (it has sentimental value) and could sit upon a flat surface.
Any advice very welcome. I have a pretty basic range of tools. I don't know if a normal chisel would be any good.
Many Thanks
Mark
