Hi
Can anyone explain how I should wire sockets in my kitchen that are vertically aligned please?
There needs to be a double socket above the worktop and a double socket below the worktop.
There's a channel from the ceiling to the lowest socket box and the higher socket box is centered on the channel.
Should the ring go in the top of the high box connect to the socket, then another wire from the socket connection out of the bottom of the box, through the top of the lower box to connect to the lower socket then from the lower socket back through the top of the lower box then just pass through the higher box en-route to the next set of sockets on the ring?
Really the question is should the return cable from the lower box pass back throgh the higher box or go around it or behind it?

Thanks in advance

You can use either method

You can pass the cable through the backbox if there is enough space (it could be tricky with some flat plate sockets) or behind the backbox if you prefer.
