We have owned a Hotpoint tumble drier for about 5 years. All was well till my wife and daughter both said there was a burning smell from it and refused to use it.
I tried it myself but didn't get the burning smell. What I did notice though was that it got very hot, hotter than normal.
Is this caused by a faulty thermostat do you think? Or what else? She wants to buy another one but I'd rather exhaust all the possibilities for repair of this one.
