Dear all,

I have an electric towel rail which is activated using a switch which is in the hallway. I attach a photo of the switch which is on the left. I would like the ability to only turn on the rail for say 1 hour or 2 hours, then for it to turn back off.

Does anyone know a good way of achieving this?

Thanks for any help in advance

While the electrical principles are the same, here in North America, our devices look/are different. Here we simply use a "wind-up" timer. I would suggest you go to your hardware store and ask for a "wind-up" timer for this....they should (if you get an experienced staff member) know which one to offer you.

Never seen wind-up ones here.

Easiest type of item to find online or on the shelves of any DIY store would be a timer fused spur (even though you only functionally need a switch)

Look at a local sauna supply place. They will likely have some sort of a manually timer as they are common in sauna's.
