My tank needs to be replaced, although it's not an emergency, so I can learn. We want to upgrade to a tankless. I had one electrician tell me the service into the home was sufficient and I needed to add 60 amps.
Another electrician said I would have to increase the service into the home.

Current service is 200 amps. House is 865 ft. Standard fridge, W/D, D/W, 2-ton HVAC, gas range. Do one-two loads of laundry / week. Rarely use dish drawers. Normal electronics: smart TV, laptop, smart device.
