Stains on formica countertops from plastering

Hello, I had my kitchen wall plastered a few weeks ago and the Formica countertops have been left stained during the process. I tried regular dish soap and then white spirits (mineral spirits) but they made zero difference. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove the stains? Thanks very much!

Have you ask the professional Plasterer how to correct his screw up?

I think it will be easier to call a professional for examination

Thanks for the replies guys, we managed to get it off spraying white vinegar, scrubbing hard with a cloth and using a Stanley blade to scratch off the stains/residue that wouldn’t lift. Took about an hour between 2 of us.
