OK so I'll try keep this as simple as possible because I don't know a lot of terms.
I have a bayonet styled lightbulb in my hand and a fitting in the ceiling.
When the last lightbulb was removed and I tried to put a new bulb in, a spring with a small metal cup around it came loose from the fitting.
These springs were important because they pushed in and out and connected to the base of the lightbulb to turn it on.
I am struggling to put the spring and cup back in to the light fitting. Every time I push it back in the spring just stays loose.
Can anyone help or give advice on how to fix this? Even with the switch off could I still get shocked if I keep pushing these back in?
