Is there a reason why we can't run an extension block from an existing extension block? Is it okay if I do this for a short period of time with nothing else connected? I need to get power to the far end of my garage for some lights (temporary).

I mean like this:

Socket ---------> Extension Block ----------> Extension Block----------> Lights

Hi bodgerb
sorry, but need to know precisely what you intend to do, and what you mean by 'extension block'
Also, are you in the UK or USA as regulations/codes are very different ?

Hello John, sorry I didnt explain this very well. I have attached a photo of the extension block to this post. I'm not very diy minded!

I only ask because I was told never to plug an extension in to another extension socket, so I thought I would check this out while I posted on the forum for something else.

Hi
Whilst this is not the best practice, You will be protected by the 13 amp plug fuse, so OK for temporary use.
