My 1 amp 12 volt charger quit working. So removed the cover and found one of the two diodes for the dc circuit had split into. Can't find a schematic or wiring diagram to give detail on the diode and it's so small hard to read number on it. I was wondering if as a 1 amp charger would it take a 1 amp rated diode or does it need to be larger by some degree. I know quite often it seems things like this in these kinds of devices need to be overrated. Any help would be appreciated.
