I need to do some repapering behind my Scantronic 9448+ control box and sensors.
I therefore have to take these off the walls to get behind them but I do not need to disconnect any wiring.
My question is what will happen when I start to take off the lid of the control panel and the fronts of the sensors to get at the screws which are attaching them to the wall.
I am the homeowner so I know the code to stop and start the alarm.
I am assuming that the alarm will go off because of the tamper mechanisms. If I enter my code will this turn the alarm off or will the alarm keep running. If the control panel lid or sensor fronts are left off for a while would this cause problems ?
I just want a heads up on this before I start unscrewing anything as I do not want to incur an engineer call out to reset the system or fix something that could have been avoided.
I have the instruction manual but it does not say anything about this.
