We have recently been experiencing long power outages, some as long as 6 days in a row...
During these outages I run a 2,000 w Champion generator to power my refrigerator and other ascendry items in the house
However tempted to plug the generator into our central heating system which is a 95% high efficiency Trane, but it will not go into ignition
I have tried contacting the manufacturer but they just give me a run around and tell me to contact a local dealer
Have tried contacting the local dealer and they just want to sell me a new unit
There is nothing wrong with my heating system it works fine with the power of the PG&E supplies. ( when they Supply it...)
Does anybody know of a solution to this problem or even what is causing the problem I'm experiencing
