I finally broke down and purchased a programmable thermostat for my home. I have a geothermal unit with an electric coil backup. I am having trouble figuring out how to wire the new stat. The board on my system has wires in the following locations:
R, O, Y, G, W1, W2, B
The old stat (mid 90s) has those wires connected to (in corresponding order):
R, O, Y2, F, W1, W2, C
The problem is the new stat doesn’t have the same options:
C,K,Rc,R,W-O/B,Y,G,W2-Aux/E,Y2,L
The new stat is a Honeywell RTH9585WF. The installation guide offers various wiring options, but none that match my wires. There are no options with O and W1 and W2, which is my biggest point of confusion. Are you able to offer any guidance? Thank you for any insight.
