Replacing my existing doorbell with a Ring type doorbell, size of the hole in the wall is too large for the distance between the two screws. Would it be better to make the hole smaller with some kind of filler or insert a piece of wood in that I can put a hole in? The top hole works (see image), but had to do the bottom one off center. Need to patch the hole so I can drill a better bottom hole vertically from the top one.
