repairing/fixing a tear in a "Kettler Bäderliege Tampa" (bath lounger)

Hello!

Does anyone have some experience repairing such a thing?

Here is the tear:

I don't want to replace the entire covering. The material is probably some sort of flexible and highly durable plastic. The primary goal is to prevent a further worsening of that tear.

Any suggestions?
