Hi,
I have recently had my chimney stack removed, and am now going to be remove the breast from top to bottom.
In the loft, the two chimney breast join each other to form what was the chimney stack. Is there a certain way the breast should be removed? I am thinking that where the two breast meet, they kind of support one another(I think), and I'm thinking that once the join is removed, the remaining bricks will come tumbling down and ruin the existing wall and smash through my ceilings. Am I talking nonsense. Can anyone advise?
