I have a Potterton Kingfisher MK 2 boiler with a suspected sticking gas valve. The pilot light is on so the thermocouple is obviously ok and is able to provide a feed of gas to the valve. However when the boiler thermostat is activated I can hear the thermostat and gas solenoid click but it will not fire up. Can anyone advise if this is more than likely a sticking valve within the unit with the clicking falsely sounding as though the valve is ok ? These are very simple boilers so am unable to think it could be anything else !
Thanks
