I’ve built my pax wardrobes (doorless).
my spacepro sliding doors have arrived. They are 20cm shorter than the ceiling. I’ve heard the the height extenders are rubbish. I want to make up the difference by building a bottom plinth 20cm high. (Well, minus whatever clearance I need for the top tracks, which I’ve yet to find the answer to)..
So I’m guessing I’ll need a plinth 18cm high - which is about the height of my skirting .. and about the height of the pax wardrobe’s ’plinth’ - (so that’s handy) I’m leaving the skirting there and using end panels to make it flush.
My question is - can I simply use a really ‘high’ (18cm) length of wood, x about 6 cm depth, (enough for the door tracks) ?
i would countersink the screws and screw It into floor board. Should be sturdy enough, do you think?
or maybe 2 ceiling panels joined together above and the same below?
Any ideas?
Thanks!!
