oven element replacement

Hi I am single girl having a go at changing my heating element in my Neff oven. I need to change one of the crimp terminals as I broke one off trying to remove from the old element. Can I use a crimp terminal with a plastic crimp cover in the oven? The exisiting ones are without a cover? Was not sure if this was a fire hazard? Or was neff being cheap by not having covers. Thanks Di
