I had to add an outlet controlled by a light switch for my outdoor kitchen. I ran a hot black, neutral white and green ground to the wall switch. I then ran the hot lead through the toggle switch along with the other two wires to the outlet allowing me the ability to turn power on and off through the light switch. Everything works okay. What I don't like is when I turn off the switch I am still showing about 26 VAC. I would like to know what is causing this voltage to still be there after the switch is turned off.
