OPEN PLAN KITCHEN - building regulations

Hi.

Question:

I live in London, UK.

We reconfigured our maisonette about 2/3 years back. Moving kitchen and bathroom and opened up exterior windows/doors in lower ground, new bolier, etc. We got planning permission approval - applied for building regulation approval - had 2 visits by them during the work - then they stopped returning calls/emails requesting they're feedback.

The work/decorating has finally been finished as some non building issues came up requiring alot of my time.

A friend did mention the open plan kitchen could be a problem. Ive attached a rough plan. basically the kitchen is open to the upstairs living room - as the stairs landing is open.

I was just seeing if anyone could offer advice - or had similar problems in past.

Thanks. M
