Hi, I moved a cabinet and found the back has bowed a lot. It's only 18 months old which is annoying. Is there any way to flatten it out? I have no discernable DIY skills unfortunately.

I have laid it on its front and put a towel on the ridge that's formed and put 20 pounds of weight on top in attempt to push it back where it should be

. I'm keeping the towel damp each day.

Is there anything else I can do? Will this work? And if it does work how long will it take to get the wood back to where it should be?

Thanks in advance

You won't be able to restore that to it' original shape. It will crack if too much pressure is applied.

It's just ¼" tongue-and-groove backing....pull it off and replace it. That's what I'd do anyways....my 2 cents.
