My fridge freezer over the past few weeks has been making a vibration noise when the compressor is working. The appliance is keeping the correct temperature both for the fridge and freezer sections, but the noise was driving me mad.
I looked in the back of the appliance and found the noise was coming from the compressor, if a pressed on top of the compressor the noise stopped. There a four bolts which pass through the compressor lugs and a rubber washer on to the frame of the appliance. I have tightened these bolts, the noise has stopped and correct temperature maintaned. Have I done the right thing or could this cause problems in the future to the compressor ?
