I had a new boiler fitted. Now, the CH is not working as well as it used to. The boiler is in the garage (old one was in the kitchen). The installer put 22mm flow and return pipes across the garage, but then dropped them to 15mm to go through the wall into the house. He then connected them into a nearby radiator sub-circuit, also 15mm.
I feel this use of 15mm F&R just doesn’t let the boiler get the heat through -- it’s a 4-bed house with 11 rads, and the boiler is slightly more powerful than the old one. Does anyone think this is the likely cause? I guess it could cost £500 to get the 22mm pipes to where the old boiler F&R are accessible.
