Hi,
My extractor fan in my bathroom recently broke and so I bought a new model with a timer (like the last one). When I've come to wire it I can't find any evidence of a switched live cable to the old one apart from the green/yellow wire inserted in to the switched live terminal.
Could the green/yellow wire have been re-purposed for use as the switched live wire? If so then is this safe or even legal?
There's no need to earth the fan as it's double insulated.
Thanks,
Tom L
