I have a Miele W360 that has failed. It had completed a wash and I was taking the washing out when I heard the sound of a component frying and some smoke wifted out.
A couple of tiny transistors have burned out. When this happened all signs of life
extinguised. I see that there is some bulging of the plastic cover of the 20+20V transformer.
I have tried another circuit board (EL-150C) but there is still no illumination on the front panel. I checked the 5V rail going to the control panel and it is 0V even when the
19 way connector is unplugged.
I wonder if the replacement 2nd hand unit is faulty or if there is another issue that is affecting the unit.
I previously asked a question in this forum about the panel light extinguishing momentarily
when I opened the door. I wondered if the fault is related to this though I have been using the machine about four years.
