The dryer was working fine. I had been doing up all of our laundry following vacation. I had caught a nasty cold on the trip, so my husband offered to put the last load in the dryer. I forgot about it until I washed another load, opened the dryer, and saw the load of still very damp, sour clothes. At first I thought he didn't start it, and took them out to rewash, put the new load in, turned the dial, pushed start, and...NOTHING. Except the timer is ticking, that's it. I replaced the thermal fuse (I think that's what it was) several years ago, and wondered if that could be the problem again.
