Leaf Blower not working

My leaf blower has only seen one previous autumn. I was using it at weekend and it packed up. Fuse is ok. Switches are ok. Get continuity every where but I can't check the capacitor. Must be cheap enough just to replace it. I can't think what else it might be.

Or the thermal cut out?

It sounds like the capacitor or thermal cut-out could indeed be the issue. Replacing the capacitor is inexpensive and worth a try first, as it's a common failure point. If that doesn’t fix it, checking the thermal cut-out would be the next step.

I get continuity across the thermal cut out so I will try a capacitor
