Is it safe to remove old dishwasher?

I have a dishwasher that has sat unused (was used daily prior to that and is still plumbed in) in the kitchen for a couple of years.

Is it safe to simply remove it or is there a chance that I could spread some nasty diseases if I try and move it?

Cant see it being a problem just don't drink the water that is is still sat in it we often have to remove long "dead legs" of pipe that have had no flow through for years. the waste pipe may have a bit of gunge inside though. I would stick some tape over the ends.

Yeah like most things in life it's okay to handle something hazardous as long you are suitably equipped.
