Internet and Extension Sockets

Hi

I have a master socket in the garage where I know the Internet works and landline phone works. However I have an extension in another room in the house where the landline works and the router doesn't. Any ideas.

Hi Ray, is the master socket a "filtered" socket? Could you please post a photo of it and I can help identify it .

Broadband connections require filters to use phonelines and modems at the same time. Sometimes you need to plug individual filters in to each socket where you use a phone (and then the modem bypasses the filter), sometimes the master socket filters all extension sockets, but has a bypass port for the modem.
