Hey guys, so, long story short, I wanted to install a door that allows access under the stairs. As it turns out, the wall where I wanted to install the door is the location where the sewer stack and water (hot and cold) lines run from the downstairs (through the slab) to the upstairs bathroom.
It's right smack in the middle, unfortunately... which is rather disappointing.
What I wanted to know is... does code allow 90 degree waste pipes fittings?
GOOD NEWS is... I just had my daughter flush both toilets upstairs, and neither one of them drains into this drain. It's the drain for the two master bathroom sinks, and the shower drain... so no waste, only sink and shower water.
Thoughts? I have TONS of room up above, and can put any number of 45 degree piping, etc. I just want to know if it's code-appropriate.
What I am thinking of doing is jacking up part of the slab and moving the stack as it comes out of the ground... just want to hear your guys thoughts on this.
Thanks!
