indesit 50/50 fridge freezer packed up after bad smell.

Hi, I have an Indesit 50/50 fridge freezer about 6years old and we noticed a bad smell in the fridge but cauldnt find what it was. I pulled a big lump of ice from the back of the dessert undress off and the next morning notice both the fridge and freezer had stopped working, but the light still comes on when the sort is opened. The fridge freezer makes no noise and feels slightly warm inside.
