I am in the process of replacing a poor quality concealed toilet cistern which till now has been entirely inaccessible behind a plasterboard wall. My plan is to replace it and replace the cut out hole with a removable panel. I am having trouble understanding how I undo the current water inlet connection from the cistern.
My guess is that I first have to undo the stopcock inside the cistern which will allow me to withdraw the elbow that connects the inlet piple to the cistern. With that done I can first remove the cistern which will give me more room to dismantle the elbow and proceed with the replacement.
I'd greatly appreciate any help here.
