Help.
I've found a plug in drill with an old Black and Decker Sander attachment - basically, a 4" by 9" plastic box with clips on one end to hold the sand paper, and a butterfly screw to hold it in place on the drill. Unscrew it, and it lifts away to reveal a rotating metal weight that is apparently screwed into the drill in place of the original chuck.
I think this sander has been attached to the drill for at least fifteen years (I found it in the attic alongside its chuck). And - call me dumb - I can't work out how to remove the rotating weight from the drill so that I can put the original chuck back in. When I turn it, so do the drill innards - in both directions.
Can anyone tell me how to unscrew the rotating weight - so I can use the drill as a drill again?
