Hi gang, would really appreciate some help on this - am slightly at my wits' end!
Basically I have a ceiling light fitting which I need to change the bulb in. The fitting is supposed to unscrew at the join with the arrow pointing to it in the pic, however it simply won't budge. I know that I am unscrewing the right way (anti-clockwise) because I've undone one of the others, previously. And I sprayed WD40 into the join to try and loosen (you can see the residue).
I first tried using a baby boa (rubber strap tool) to get a better purchase on the main body but this didn't work. So I added to this by using a set of car oil filter grips (on the other part of the fitting) to hold it steady and reduce flex as I am applying turning force with the baby boa on the main bit.
Still no joy.
Would really appreciate any thoughts on what to try next?!?
Thanks / Will
