heavy shelves into plasterboard

Hiya,

I have these heavy shelves that I am trying to fit to plasterboard

each shelf is solid wood, 2m in length and so pretty heavy.

each shelf has heavy duty metal brackets which supposedly hold up to 30kg per pair.

I am using 5 brackets per shelf.

Each bracket will then be secured with two M4 38mm heavy duty plasterboard fixings. So that’s 10 fixings for that one shelf.

does this sound sufficient?

I’m not able to secure to the stud work as the brackets would not be spaced correctly.
Thanks in advance

The fasteners shown in your firstmost picture will work great. If you find them problematic, go get some "toggle bolts". We use them in the commercial industry where loads are supported by the wall covering (in your case, plasterboard) and not the studs beneath.
