I am a Dish Satellite subscriber, but I want to install antenna(s) to pick up other channels. Several over-the-air broadcasters are 20 miles S.E. of my house, and a second batch is 60 miles due West of my house. I want to avoid monkeying with a rotor if possible, but I've been told that the ability of omni-directional antennas to pull in the 60-mile-away broadcasters is, at best, marginal. My idea is to install two directional antennas on the same mast, each pointed in the appropriate direction. Here's the question: Can I simply connect the two antennas in parallel to a single coax and hook it to the TV? Will the TV sort out the two signals, or must I run coax from each antenna (two cables) to some sort of A/B switch inside the house? I'm trying to keep it simple.
