Glowworm Fuelsaver F boiler won't start

My boiler was switched off during the summer and now it won't start. Its probably 30 years old, but I thought I'd ask for suggestions here since Gas Board want £4000 for a replacement.

The pilot doesn't light despite everything appearing in working order (except for the ignition part).
