Hi,
Thanks for having a look at this.
I know it's a very old boiler, but financially I really need another winter from it.
On a good day: Everything is fine, good bright spark lights the pilot, all is good.
On an average day: no spark first time, pump and fan working, turning unit on and off coaxes the spark to light the pilot although spark often dull and translucent.
On a bad day: Fan comes on for a second then stops, so nothing else happens. Wait for a bit, fan works fine but no click or ignition from the spark. It's the 'no click' from the electrode that puzzles me, can anyone tell me if the unit would click even if there is no spark?
I'm thinking of trying to find an old PCB to replace. Do you think I'm wasting my time? Could it be something as silly as the electrode needing replacement?
Sorry for all the questions, I would love to sort this for another year!
Thanks,
Jazza
