Anybody have a PILOT KNOB for an old Janitrol Furnace? Mine broke. See the attached pictures.
The Model is 20-125-2. The size is 125,000 BTU/HR input and 100,000 BTU/HR BONNET CAP.
Is it ok to list the serial number here? I have it.
So anyway, I am being told the knob is obsolete and I'd need to replace the whole module or pilot assembly and parts and labor might go beyond $300. But to me it just looks like a 25 cent knob! I could easily fix it myself.
I AM PRETTY SURE I COULD FIGURE OUT HOW TO TURN THE PILOT ON AND OFF WITHOUT THE KNOB. MAYBE USE NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS? ANYONE KNOW?
Isn't there a furnace junkyard someplace? Like a car junkyard? Like cars, furnaces are dangerous and EXPENSIVE, but there are auto junkyards.
