I have a box of .131 x 3" smooth shank round head nails for my 22 deg nail gun from a old project. I would like to use them up, as I have enough of them to build my 12ft x 12ft shed with 7ft 9" walls. I wanted to know if I can use these to frame my wall. I have read there are several sizes of framing nails and I see that .131 x3" is considered like a 10d in chart, but also saw that a .131 x 3 1/4 is considered a 16d shorty.
So, to say the least am a little bewildered by the whole nail size thing.
Am I good to go or not?
Thanks
Dean
