We have a 9 year old Lamona LAM8301 that we use regularly and clean regularly. We always use the Eco cycle for washing and the 70 degrees cycle for cleaning the dishwasher.

After every cycle, we always take the plastic filter out from the bottom and run it under the tap to clean it. Recently we have noticed that the trap the filter sits in is not completely empty with water sometimes half way up the filter. This always drains away at the start of the next cycle. We have also noticed that sometimes the final drain of the cycle seems to take longer sometimes.

We have undone the connector under the sink and there are no blockages. We have never put anything in it that shouldn’t go in it, and have never had any glass or pots break in it.

Any clues as to why this is happening please?

Something similar happened here so maybe, even though a different machine: there may be a second, finer filter in a sump under the filter that you clean, possibly a finer one. If you can't remove it to clean it, you may be able to get at it with a soft kitchen scourer on the end of a fork or something. I used my dental water-flosser with its fairly high-powered narrow jet.
