Champion 4 toilet leak

Hello I am having a problem with my champion 4 toilet---

I have changed all seals and the flush valve and tightened everything well ,but I still have a leak-the only thing thinkI could be the cause is the gasket seal where the flush valve connects to the tank-but I don't know for sure--any help would appreciated--the new valve has a different valve to tank gasket then the old valve--the new gasket seems more ridged, and the old one more spongy

I have fixed the problem with the champion 4 toilet: I installed a different type of flush valve. ---Dave W
