We bought a lot in Co to build our retirement home. Picture of the lot with the previous owner's excavation is attached. The lot is sloped but is excavated to allow a walkout basement. When I hired a soils engineer to test bearing capacity of the soil, they dug a 10 foot hole to collect soil samples. In the corner of excavation, they hit wet soil only after 2 feet. So, I have put together a design that I would like to ask this community to comment on. It is the second page of the attached.
