Bizarre Borehole anomaly

Hi, we recently had a borehole drilled but in the process the casing twisted and broke at 30 to 36 metres depth, so it was abandoned. Subsequently the bore began making strange roaring noises and began emitting air at the rate of a large dustbin bag every 10 seconds after 3 months it continues to do this. Has anyone any idea what is going on. Ther is apparently no more than a metre of water in the bottom.
