Bathroom fan not working - how to connect?

Hi, I had a full rewiring of my flat completed and entirely new bathroom. Electricians hooked up the bathroom fan but we can't figure out why it doesn't work. There is a separate fan switch which is also connected to the light switch so can come on automatically if desired. Any advice much appreciated! Cheers

Why are you doing it?

Get the electricians back and get them to sort it out. You paid for it!

Jack, first let me start by echoing Doghouse's response. To fix this you will need a meter and a lot of patience just trying to figure out the wiring.

Second - Your picture of the fan is interesting. First of all whoever put that outlet box in for you did not finish it properly. If you are here in the U.S., that's a code violation.

Third, your picture of the switch tells us nothing. I need to see the entire back of the switch and what's inside the outlet box. Also a decent shot of the front of the switch would help us all.
