Advice needed (steps)

Hello

Can I get a bit of help with this:

I have concrete or stone front steps with one under the front door.
Keep painting these with masonry paint and also Diamond White hardwearing.
However I have to do this on a regular basis or they get chipped and flaky with the footfall.
If I take these back to original concret/Stone do I have to seal with anything?

Hi and welcome.

Lots of buildings have unpainted concrete steps.
The paint may need a lot of effort to completely remove and it might end up looking worse than it does now.

just need to know how to paint and seal to prevent having to do every few months or take back to concrete and seal?
